Applications:

  • Air Filtration Volatiles Organic (VOC's):
    • The GAC is used as a filter in the vent from the air source being treated. The carbon adsorbs the VOCs which are a common cause of odours.
    • Methyl Bromide (MeBr): The GAC is used as a filter in the vent from the fumigation system.
  • Waste Water Treatment:
    • Waste Water: The granular activated carbon is used as a filter in a vessel through which the water is pumped. The GAC is regularly backwashed and does not need to be replaced until it is exhausted which may take several years.
    • Stormwater: The granular activated carbon is used as part of a stormwater sand filter constructed specially for stormwater treatment through which the stormwater is flowing. The GAC will remove organic compounds present in the stormwater.
    • Chlorine Removal:Removal of chlorine from municipal water supply to dairy / food processing plant. Removal of chlorine from municipal water supply to a water / beverage bottling plant.
    • Aquatic Centre:Thegranular activated carbon is used as a filter in a vessel through which the water is pumped. The GAC is regularly backwashed and does not need to be replaced until it is exhausted which may take several years.
